Dear Missouri Avenue Family,
This year we will use Remote Learning Instruction days, for our bad weather days, in order to avoid extending our school year. During remote learning bad weather days, the learning that happens at school is continued at home! For any bad weather days we have, students will be required to complete work at home and check in with their teacher by Dojo, email or phone calls. By completing work at home these days will be considered normal days of school. This means that we will not have to make up these bad weather days at the end of the school year.
School messenger alerts will let you know whether we are having a bad weather day or a remote learning day. Teachers will reach out to their class through Dojo when we have a Remote learning day to check in with students.
This packet contains work for your child to complete when we have a remote learning bad weather day. All of the activities can be completed at home, without a computer or internet. Our goal is to get students focusing on reading, writing, and math through academic activities! Please keep this packet in a safe place at home so that your child will always have access to it throughout the semester. All staff will be available during normal working hours, 7:45-3:30, checking dojo, emails and messages throughout the day to support families where needed. If a bad weather day arrives, and you cannot find your packet, youcan access the packet by clicking your child's grade level below.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
Sincerely,
Dr. Damon
Principal
